This involves auditing supply chains, verifying documentation, implementing traceability systems, and preparing for third-party certifications like MSC or ASC.
- Conduct internal audits of fishing vessels, processing plants, and supply chain partners
- Develop and implement traceability systems to track seafood from catch to consumer
- Prepare documentation and evidence for third-party sustainability certifications (e.g., MSC, ASC)
- Train staff on certification requirements and traceability protocols
- Liaise with certification bodies, auditors, and regulatory authorities
- Investigate and resolve non-conformities or traceability breaches
- Stay updated on international seafood standards, regulations, and market requirements
- Generate reports on compliance status and performance metrics
