A Day in the Life

A day as an Eco-tourism Guide involves leading visitors through Sri Lanka's diverse natural environments, sharing knowledge about local flora, fauna, and ecosystems. This includes conducting safaris, birdwatching tours, nature walks, or whale-watching trips, ensuring guest safety and an enriching educational experience.

  • Conduct pre-tour briefings on safety, itinerary, and environmental etiquette.
  • Lead guided tours (e.g., jeep safaris, boat trips, jungle treks) in national parks or coastal areas.
  • Identify and explain wildlife, bird species, plants, and natural phenomena to guests.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all tour participants.
  • Provide interpretation in English and potentially other foreign languages.
  • Manage tour logistics, including vehicle/boat coordination and timing.
  • Educate guests on conservation efforts and local culture.
