About This Role
Conduct quality assurance inspections of government schools across an assigned area in Sri Lanka. Evaluate teaching quality, school management, student performance, and compliance with Ministry of Education standards. A Day in the Life
An Education Inspector travels to different schools each week, observing classroom lessons, reviewing school management records, evaluating student performance data, interviewing principals and teachers, and compiling inspection reports. The role is field-based with significant travel throughout the assigned zone or province.
- Visit schools and conduct teaching quality observation
- Review school management documents and student records
- Evaluate principal and teacher performance against MOE standards
- Interview school stakeholders (principal, teachers, students, parents)
- Compile detailed inspection reports with recommendations
- Follow up on previously identified weaknesses in subsequent visits
- Attend zone-level education quality review meetings
