Graduate Teacher (Specialist)

You are a degree-holding specialist teacher in the Sri Lanka government school system, appointed to teach a specific subject at secondary or A/L level, commanding a higher salary grade than non-graduate teachers.

• Deliver specialist subject lessons at secondary (O/L) and A/L level using the national curriculum
• Prepare detailed lesson notes and subject-specific teaching materials
• Conduct in-depth O/L and A/L examination preparation sessions
• Mentor junior or probationary teachers in your subject area
• Represent the subject at school-level curriculum and academic committees
• Participate in NIE in-service education (ISE) and continuing professional development
• Provide supplementary support for high-achieving and struggling students
• Contribute to school management tasks assigned by the principal
