A Marine Policy & Conservation Strategist's day is highly varied, involving extensive research, policy analysis, stakeholder consultations, and report writing. They might spend time reviewing international conventions and national laws, drafting policy briefs, meeting with government officials, industry representatives, and NGOs, or preparing for workshops and public awareness campaigns.
- Conducting research and analysis on marine environmental issues and policy gaps
- Drafting policy briefs, legislative proposals, and strategic plans for marine conservation
- Engaging with government agencies, industry stakeholders, and civil society organizations
- Representing the organization in national and international forums on marine policy
- Developing and implementing strategies for sustainable marine resource management
- Monitoring the effectiveness of existing marine policies and recommending improvements

Work Environment
