Their day involves reviewing financial documents, conducting feasibility studies, assessing collateral, and preparing detailed credit reports to inform lending decisions.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and business plans of agricultural clients
- Conduct site visits to farms and agri-businesses to assess operational capacity and risks
- Evaluate the feasibility and profitability of proposed farming projects or expansions
- Assess collateral and security offered for loans, considering agricultural asset valuation
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports and risk assessments for loan applications
- Present findings and recommendations to credit committees or investment managers
- Monitor the performance of existing agricultural loans and investments
- Stay informed about agricultural market conditions, crop cycles, and government subsidies
