A Day in the Life
An Agro-Tourism Manager's day involves overseeing the operations of a farm-based tourism venture, ensuring guests have an enriching experience while promoting sustainable agriculture. This includes managing bookings, coordinating activities, marketing, and maintaining farm aesthetics.
- Manage daily operations of the agro-tourism site, including guest bookings, check-ins, and departures
- Coordinate and supervise agro-tourism activities such as farm tours, cooking classes, fruit picking, and animal feeding
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract local and international tourists
- Train and manage staff, including tour guides, hospitality staff, and farm workers involved in tourism activities
- Ensure high standards of guest satisfaction, safety, and environmental sustainability
- Manage budgets, financial records, and inventory for the agro-tourism business
- Collaborate with local farmers, artisans, and community members to offer authentic experiences and support local economies
