- Perform combined chemical and physical characterisation — thermal, mechanical, optical, and chemical analysis
- Apply spectroscopic techniques with physical interpretation — solid-state NMR, X-ray diffraction, neutron scattering
- Characterise nanomaterials and thin films using both chemical surface analysis and physical profilometry
- Develop hybrid analytical protocols combining chromatographic separation with physical detection
- Collaborate with physicists on instrument development and novel detection methods
- Analyse data requiring both chemical and physical modelling frameworks
- Prepare research publications crossing chemistry and physics disciplines
Work Environment
Research institutes and university departments where chemistry and physics intersect — SLINTEC materials division, university chemistry and physics joint labs, and specialist R&D units.
