A Day in the Life
Arborists in Sri Lanka plant, maintain, and care for trees and woody plants in gardens, estates, roadsides, and public parks, handling pruning, fertilisation, pest control, and tree removal as needed.
- Plant trees and shrubs according to site specifications and landscape plans
- Prune, trim, and shape trees using hand tools, loppers, and chainsaws
- Apply fertilisers, mulch, and soil treatments to support tree health
- Identify and treat common tree diseases and pest infestations
- Perform tree removal and stump grinding for hazardous or unwanted trees
- Maintain climbing and safety equipment in good working condition
- Assist with tree surveys and inventories for municipal or estate clients
- Follow safe work practices when operating at heights and with power tools
