- Develop differential equation models of biological phenomena (epidemics, population growth, enzyme kinetics)
- Analyse biological time-series and experimental data using statistical and mathematical methods
- Collaborate with biologists, ecologists, and public health officials on model design and interpretation
- Implement and validate mathematical models in Python, R, or MATLAB
- Prepare research papers and present findings at academic and applied science conferences
- Advise health departments on disease modelling for outbreak response (e.g., dengue, leptospirosis)
- Supervise undergraduate or graduate students on computational biology projects
- Apply statistical inference to genomic or ecological datasets
