A Day in the Life
Climate Risk Analysts in Sri Lanka assess the physical and transition risks of climate change for businesses, financial institutions, and government — quantifying exposure, vulnerability, and potential financial losses from climate-related hazards.
- Assess physical climate risks (flooding, drought, cyclone, sea-level rise) for assets and supply chains in Sri Lanka
- Model transition risks from policy, regulatory, and market changes affecting carbon-intensive sectors
- Perform scenario analysis (TCFD, NGFS, SSP scenarios) to project financial climate risk
- Develop climate risk metrics and KPIs for corporate sustainability and investor reporting
- Prepare TCFD-aligned climate risk disclosures for listed companies or financial institutions
- Advise infrastructure project developers on climate risk screening and adaptation measures
- Contribute to national climate risk assessments for government disaster preparedness
- Engage with financial regulators on climate stress-testing methodologies
Work Environment
Typical hours: 45h/week · WLB score 7/10 · OCCASIONAL overtime
Primarily office-based; report deadlines and investor reporting cycles can require overtime bursts.
