A Clinical Radiobiologist researches how radiation affects biological tissues, particularly in the context of cancer treatment. They design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to optimize radiation therapy protocols and minimize side effects.
- Design and conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments to study the biological effects of radiation.
- Analyze experimental data using statistical and computational methods.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to translate research findings into clinical practice.
- Develop and optimize radiation therapy treatment plans and protocols.
- Investigate mechanisms of radiation resistance and radiosensitivity in cancer cells.
