A Day in the Life
A Commercial Crop Manager oversees all aspects of large-scale crop production, from planting to harvest. This includes planning crop rotations, managing soil health, supervising farm staff, optimizing irrigation and fertilization, and ensuring compliance with agricultural best practices to maximize yield and profitability.
- Developing and implementing crop production plans, including planting schedules and crop rotations.
- Monitoring crop health, identifying pests and diseases, and implementing control measures.
- Managing irrigation systems and nutrient delivery programs.
- Supervising and training farm staff on planting, cultivating, and harvesting techniques.
