A Day in the Life

A Food Quality Controller is responsible for ensuring that food products meet established quality and safety standards throughout the manufacturing process. This involves conducting inspections, tests, and monitoring critical control points to prevent defects and ensure consumer safety.

  • Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods for quality defects.
  • Conduct physical, chemical, and microbiological tests on food samples.
  • Monitor critical control points (CCPs) as per HACCP plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of all quality checks and test results.
  • Identify and report non-conformities and initiate corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene standards.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Assist in internal and external quality audits.
