A typical day involves laboratory experimentation, pilot plant trials, data analysis, and close collaboration with production, quality assurance, and marketing teams to ensure products are safe, high-quality, and efficiently produced.
- Research and develop new food products or reformulate existing ones to meet market demands.
- Optimize food manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
- Conduct sensory evaluations and consumer testing to gather feedback on product attributes.
- Perform chemical, physical, and microbiological analyses on ingredients and finished products.
- Design and execute pilot plant trials to scale up new product formulations or processes.
- Ensure all product development and manufacturing processes comply with food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO).
- Troubleshoot production issues related to product quality, safety, or efficiency.
- Prepare technical specifications, process flow diagrams, and quality control documentation.
Work Environment
