A Geodetic Scientist focuses on precisely measuring and modeling Earth's shape, gravity field, and orientation. This involves using advanced physics, mathematics, and satellite data to understand global and regional geodynamic processes, often for applications in navigation, surveying, and climate science.
- Process and analyze satellite geodetic data (e.g., GPS, VLBI, SLR, GRACE).
- Develop and refine mathematical models for Earth's gravity field and geoid.
