Their day involves using specialized software to visualize, interpret, and present geographical information for various applications like urban planning, environmental management, or logistics.
- Collect, process, and integrate spatial data from various sources (GPS, satellite imagery, surveys).
- Design, create, and update digital maps and geographic databases.
- Perform spatial analysis to identify patterns, trends, and relationships in geographic data.
- Develop and maintain GIS applications and web mapping services.
- Generate reports, charts, and presentations based on spatial analysis results.
- Collaborate with urban planners, environmental scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders.
