A Geophysical Data Analyst spends their day processing and interpreting complex seismic, gravity, and magnetic data. They use specialized software to identify subsurface structures, often for oil, gas, or mineral exploration, or for environmental studies.
- Process raw geophysical data using specialized software to remove noise and enhance signals.
- Interpret seismic sections, gravity maps, and magnetic anomalies to identify geological features.
- Create 2D and 3D subsurface models based on interpreted data.
