A Day in the Life
A Geospatial Data Engineer designs, builds, and maintains the infrastructure and pipelines for collecting, processing, and storing large volumes of geospatial data. This involves working with databases, cloud platforms, and programming to ensure data is accessible and reliable for mapping and analysis.
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines for geospatial data ingestion and processing.
- Manage and optimize geospatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, MongoDB, Oracle Spatial).
