A Geospatial Software Architect designs the high-level structure and technical specifications for complex Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and mapping applications. This involves translating business requirements into technical blueprints, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability, and guiding development teams.
- Translate business requirements into technical architecture designs for GIS and mapping solutions.
- Define software components, interfaces, and data flows for geospatial systems.
- Select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and platforms for geospatial development.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
- Ensure the scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of geospatial applications.
