An Industrial Data Analyst (Chem) spends their day collecting, cleaning, and analyzing vast amounts of data from chemical manufacturing processes. They use statistical models and data visualization tools to identify trends, predict outcomes, and recommend optimizations to improve efficiency, quality, and safety in chemical plants.
- Collecting and integrating data from various sources (sensors, batch records, lab results) in chemical plants.
- Cleaning and preprocessing large datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Developing and applying statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze process data.
- Creating dashboards and visualizations to present complex data insights to engineers and management.
- Identifying root causes of process inefficiencies, quality deviations, or equipment failures.
