Their day involves coordinating logistics, managing inventory, ensuring quality control, optimizing transport routes, and communicating with various stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Coordinate the collection of livestock or animal products from farms.
- Plan and optimize transportation routes and schedules to minimize costs and spoilage.
- Manage inventory levels at various points in the supply chain (e.g., collection centers, processing plants).
- Ensure compliance with food safety, animal welfare, and transportation regulations.
- Liaise with farmers, transporters, processing plants, and distributors.
- Monitor product quality and temperature control during transit and storage.
- Resolve logistical issues, delays, or quality concerns promptly.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
- Prepare reports on logistics performance, costs, and inventory.
Work Environment
