A Day in the Life
A Microbiologist (Industrial) spends their day in a lab, conducting experiments, analyzing microbial cultures for industrial applications like enzyme or antibiotic production, and meticulously documenting results. They ensure quality control and optimize fermentation processes.
- Prepare and sterilize culture media and equipment for microbial growth.
- Inoculate and cultivate various microorganisms (bacteria, fungi) in bioreactors.
- Monitor fermentation processes, including pH, temperature, and nutrient levels.
