A Mineral Exploration Specialist uses advanced mathematical and geological principles to predict where mineral deposits might be found. This involves analyzing vast amounts of data, creating predictive models, and guiding field teams to promising locations.
- Analyze geological, geochemical, and geophysical data using mathematical models and algorithms.
- Develop and apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques for predictive modeling of mineral deposits.
- Interpret complex spatial data to identify geological structures and patterns indicative of mineralization.
- Create 2D and 3D models of subsurface geology and potential ore bodies.
- Collaborate with field geologists to plan and optimize drilling programs based on predictive models.
