A Molecular Biologist (Agri) spends their day in the lab, applying advanced molecular techniques to understand and improve agricultural crops. - Design and execute molecular biology experiments (e.g., PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, sequencing).
- Extract and purify DNA, RNA, and proteins from plant samples.
- Perform genetic mapping, marker-assisted selection, and gene expression analysis.
- Utilize bioinformatics tools for sequence analysis, genome annotation, and data interpretation.
