- Develop and apply physics-based models to simulate natural hazard events (e.g., fluid dynamics for tsunamis, soil mechanics for landslides)
- Collect and integrate diverse data sources, including geological, hydrological, seismic, and ecological data
- Analyze the potential impact of hazards on human populations, infrastructure, and ecosystems
