A Packaging Technologist (Agri-Exports) focuses on designing and optimizing packaging solutions specifically for agricultural products destined for international markets. This involves researching materials, testing designs for shelf-life and protection, ensuring compliance with international regulations, and collaborating with production and logistics teams to create efficient, sustainable, and market-attractive packaging.
- Research and select appropriate packaging materials for various agri-export products (e.g., tea, spices, fruits, vegetables).
- Design and develop innovative packaging concepts that extend shelf-life and protect product integrity.
- Conduct packaging performance tests (e.g., drop tests, vibration tests, permeability tests).
- Ensure packaging complies with international food safety, labeling, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, marketing, and logistics teams on packaging projects.
- Evaluate and implement sustainable and eco-friendly packaging solutions.
- Manage packaging suppliers and negotiate material costs.
- Troubleshoot packaging-related issues during production or transit.
