Their day involves conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing faults, calibrating equipment, and documenting all maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend machine lifespan.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial and electronic machinery
- Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and software faults in high-tech equipment
- Repair or replace faulty components, including circuit boards, sensors, and mechanical parts
- Calibrate instruments and control systems to ensure accuracy and optimal performance
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance and minimize operational disruption
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance processes
