A Day in the Life
A QA/QC Manager in Bio-Manufacturing ensures that all biological products, from development to production, adhere to stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. This involves developing and implementing quality systems, overseeing testing, managing audits, and leading a team of QA/QC professionals.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with cGMP, ISO, and local regulations
- Oversee all quality control activities, including raw material inspection, in-process testing, and final product release
- Manage and lead a team of QA/QC analysts and technicians
- Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
- Investigate deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints, implementing CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
- Review and approve batch records, validation protocols, and other quality documentation
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and prepare for regulatory inspections
- Provide quality training to manufacturing and R&D staff
Work Environment
Works in a highly regulated bio-manufacturing facility, often in a laboratory or cleanroom environment. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, adherence to strict protocols, and a strong understanding of quality and regulatory standards.
