A Day in the Life
A Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst applies statistical process control and other quality methodologies to monitor and ensure the quality of chemical and biological production. This involves collecting and analyzing data, identifying trends, investigating deviations, and recommending improvements to maintain product standards.
- Collect and analyze data from production processes using statistical methods
- Monitor critical process parameters and product specifications
- Identify and investigate deviations, non-conformances, and quality issues
- Implement and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and other quality tools
- Prepare quality reports and present findings to production and management teams
- Assist in root cause analysis and the implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Participate in internal audits and support external regulatory inspections
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to optimize processes and improve quality
Work Environment
Works in a laboratory or manufacturing environment, often involving direct interaction with production lines and analytical equipment. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of scientific and statistical principles.
