A Day in the Life

A Quality Control (QC) Scientist spends their day performing rigorous tests on biological and chemical products to ensure they meet stringent safety and quality standards. This involves executing complex assays, analyzing data, troubleshooting issues, and meticulously documenting all findings.

  • Perform a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
  • Operate and maintain advanced laboratory instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, mass spectrometers, cell counters).
  • Develop and validate new analytical methods and procedures.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data, identifying trends and deviations.
  • Document all testing procedures, results, and deviations in accordance with GLP/GMP.
  • Investigate out-of-specification results and lead root cause analysis efforts.
  • Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international safety and quality regulations.
