A Day in the Life
A Quality Control Statistician in Bio-Pharma focuses on applying advanced statistical methods to ensure the safety, efficacy, and consistency of biological and pharmaceutical products. This involves rigorous data analysis, validation of processes, and adherence to strict regulatory guidelines.
- Design and analyze experiments for process validation and product development
- Implement and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) for bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Perform statistical analysis on stability data, assay results, and clinical trial data
- Develop and validate statistical models for predicting product shelf-life and performance
- Prepare statistical reports for regulatory submissions (e.g., FDA, EMA)
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs teams
- Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results using statistical root cause analysis
- Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices)
Work Environment
