A Sustainability & ESG Analyst in agri-business spends their day evaluating environmental and social impacts, collecting data, and preparing reports for green certifications. They might visit farms or processing plants to assess practices and ensure compliance with sustainability standards.
- Collect and analyze environmental data (e.g., water usage, waste generation, energy consumption) from agri-businesses
- Conduct social impact assessments, including labor practices and community engagement
- Prepare detailed reports on ESG performance for internal stakeholders and external auditors
- Research and monitor relevant sustainability regulations and green certification standards (e.g., GlobalG.A.P., Rainforest Alliance)
- Assist in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives within agricultural operations
- Communicate findings and recommendations to management and operational teams
- Participate in stakeholder engagement activities related to sustainability
- Maintain documentation for audits and certifications
Work Environment
