A Sustainability & ESG Officer (Agri) ensures that agricultural and landscaping practices align with environmental goals. Their day involves assessing farm operations, monitoring resource usage, implementing eco-friendly techniques, and preparing reports to demonstrate compliance and progress towards sustainability targets.
- Conduct on-site assessments of agricultural and landscaping operations for environmental impact
- Monitor and analyze resource consumption (water, fertilizer, pesticides) and waste generation
- Develop and implement sustainable farming practices, such as organic methods, soil conservation, and biodiversity protection
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry-specific sustainability standards (e.g., organic certifications)
- Prepare reports on ESG performance, focusing on environmental metrics for agricultural activities
- Provide training and guidance to farm workers and management on sustainable practices
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to promote ethical sourcing and reduce environmental impact
- Research and integrate new eco-friendly technologies and methodologies into operations
Work Environment
