A Day in the Life

Systems & Network Administrators manage the day-to-day operation of servers, networks, and IT infrastructure — configuring systems, monitoring performance, troubleshooting failures, and ensuring employees and services have reliable connectivity and access.

  • Manage Windows/Linux server infrastructure (patching, configuration)
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Manage user accounts in Active Directory / Azure AD
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, switches, and routers
  • Respond to helpdesk escalations for infrastructure issues
  • Maintain documentation for network topology and server configurations
  • Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migrations

Corporate IT department, government, bank, or enterprise. On-site with some remote monitoring capability. On-call rotation standard.
