A Tool & Die Design Specialist spends their day creating detailed 2D and 3D designs for manufacturing tools like molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures. - Develop 2D and 3D CAD models for new tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Analyze product designs and specifications to determine tooling requirements.
- Perform simulations and analyses (e.g., DFM, FEA) to optimize tool performance and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, machinists, and production staff to refine designs.
