Design user interfaces and experiences for web and mobile applications. Create wireframes, prototypes, conduct user research, and ensure excellent user experience.
A Day in the Life
UI/UX Designers craft intuitive digital experiences — conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, designing high-fidelity interfaces, and collaborating with developers to ensure designs translate perfectly into working products.
- Conduct user research (interviews, usability tests, surveys)
- Create user personas, journey maps, and information architecture
- Design wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma
- Create high-fidelity UI designs with design systems
- Collaborate with developers on design handoff and implementation
- Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs
- Maintain and evolve design systems and component libraries
Work Environment
Product company, tech startup, or design agency. Collaborative team with product managers and developers. Creative yet analytical environment combining design and psychology.
Typical hours: 45h/week · WLB score 8/10 · OCCASIONAL overtime
Excellent WLB in product companies. Pre-launch periods can intensify. Strong remote work culture in design.
