A Day in the Life
An Urban Forester manages and maintains trees and green spaces within urban environments. This involves conducting tree inventories, assessing tree health, planning planting and removal, managing pests and diseases, and advising on urban planning to maximize ecological benefits and public safety. Much of the work is outdoors.
- Conduct tree inventories and assessments using GIS and specialized software.
