A Water Quality Analyst (Industrial) focuses on testing wastewater from factories to ensure it meets chemical and biological compliance standards before discharge. This involves collecting samples, performing specialized tests, interpreting results, and advising on treatment processes to prevent environmental pollution and regulatory fines.
- Collect wastewater samples from various industrial discharge points
- Perform chemical analyses (BOD, COD, heavy metals, pH, TSS) on industrial wastewater
- Conduct microbiological tests to assess biological contamination levels
- Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment for industrial water analysis
- Interpret test results against national environmental regulations and industry-specific standards
- Generate detailed compliance reports for internal management and regulatory bodies
- Advise factory management on wastewater treatment optimization and pollution prevention
