About This Role

A Day in the Life
A Barista's day involves preparing a wide range of coffee and tea beverages, interacting with customers, maintaining cleanliness, and managing inventory in a bustling cafe environment. It's a blend of artistry, customer service, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, pour-overs, and other specialty coffees according to recipes
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other brewing equipment
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments using a POS system
- Engage with customers, provide recommendations, and ensure a positive experience
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and dining areas regularly
- Restock coffee beans, milk, pastries, and other supplies
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies
- Educate customers about different coffee beans, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
Work Environment
A fast-paced, often noisy, and aromatic environment within a cafe or coffee shop. Requires standing for long periods and constant interaction with customers and team members.
