A Catering Manager's day is highly dynamic, involving planning menus, coordinating staff, managing logistics for events, overseeing food preparation and service, and ensuring client satisfaction. It's a blend of administrative tasks, operational oversight, and client relations.
- Meet with clients to understand event requirements, preferences, and budget
- Develop customized menus, considering dietary restrictions and cultural preferences
- Prepare cost estimates and negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers
- Coordinate with kitchen staff, service teams, and logistics personnel
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service at event venues
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure efficient resource allocation
