A Day in the Life

A Business Process Manager maps, analyses, and optimises how work flows through an organisation — identifying inefficiencies, redesigning processes, developing SOPs, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across departments.

  • Map and document current ("as-is") business processes using flowcharts and BPMN tools
  • Analyse process data to identify bottlenecks, waste, and inefficiencies
  • Design improved ("to-be") processes and build business cases for change
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Lead cross-functional process improvement workshops using Lean and Six Sigma tools
  • Monitor process KPIs and measure improvement outcomes post-implementation
  • Manage stakeholder alignment and change management for new processes
  • Work with IT teams to identify automation and system improvement opportunities
  • Prepare process improvement reports for senior management
