About This Role

Sells life, health, and general insurance policies to individuals and businesses. Commission-based earning model with a base salary at most companies. Major life insurers: AIA Sri Lanka, Ceylinco Life, Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation (SLIC), Softlogic Life, HNB Assurance. IRCSL Agent Licence required after passing the regulatory exam.

A Day in the Life

An Insurance Agent's day is highly client-facing and sales-driven. You'll spend time prospecting new clients, meeting with potential and existing policyholders, explaining insurance products, and closing sales. This often involves travel, networking, and continuous learning about new products and market trends.
