About This Role

Leads an agency force or bancassurance channel for a life or general insurer. Recruits, trains, and manages insurance agents to meet annual premium targets. Key employers: AIA, Ceylinco Life, HNB Assurance (through HNB Bank branch network), NTB Insurance.

A Day in the Life

An Insurance Sales Manager's day is primarily focused on leading and motivating a team of insurance agents or a bancassurance channel. You'll spend time recruiting, training, coaching, and monitoring your team's performance to ensure they meet sales targets. Strategic planning, market analysis, and reporting are also key components.

  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new insurance agents or financial advisors
  • Provide ongoing training and coaching to enhance team members' sales skills and product knowledge
  • Set individual and team sales targets and monitor performance against these goals
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve overall business objectives
