A Day in the Life
You work in a Japanese manufacturing factory under a government-to-government (G-to-G) bilateral programme — operating production machinery, conducting quality inspection, or performing assembly tasks to international manufacturing standards.
- Operate assigned production machinery or assembly workstation to production targets
- Follow Japanese manufacturing quality standards (5S, Kaizen, poka-yoke)
- Complete daily production logs, defect records, and quality check sheets
- Participate in morning meetings (asa-kai) and continuous improvement activities
- Follow strict workplace safety protocols and PPE requirements
- Learn and follow Japanese work culture norms — punctuality, discipline, team respect
- Communicate with supervisors through assigned interpreters or basic Japanese
- Attend mandatory Japanese language training as part of the programme requirement
