You sell jewellery and gemstones to retail customers — guiding purchases with product knowledge, handling valuations and certifications, and building customer relationships that drive repeat business and referrals.
- Welcome and assist customers browsing jewellery and gem collections
- Provide knowledgeable guidance on gem quality, metal types, and design options
- Explain GIA grading reports and gem certification documents to buyers
- Process sales transactions and handle custom jewellery order intake
- Arrange valuations and insurance certification for customer purchases
- Manage display cases and jewellery inventory security
- Handle jewellery repairs by coordinating with the workshop
- Build and maintain customer relationships for anniversaries, gifting, and repeat purchases

Jewellery retail store — secure, aesthetically presented environment with display cases, lighting optimised for gem brilliance, and private consultation areas for high-value purchases. Sri Lanka's jewellery retail sector is concentrated in Colombo (Kollupitiya, Bambalapitiya, Pettah) and Ratnapura (gem trading hub).
