Product Management is for people who want to sit at the intersection of business, technology, and human behaviour. You will make real decisions that affect thousands of users. The role is intellectually demanding and socially intensive — you need to persuade engineers, delight users, and satisfy business targets simultaneously. Deeply rewarding if you thrive on ownership; exhausting if you need clear boundaries.

  • Present roadmap updates to senior leadership and stakeholders

Work Environment

HYBRIDTeam: MEDIUMBUSINESS CASUALRemote: HIGH

Agile office or hybrid environment with daily stand-ups, cross-functional meetings, and Slack-heavy async communication. Sri Lanka PMs primarily work in Colombo tech companies, BPOs, and fintech startups, often collaborating with offshore teams in Europe or the US.

Typical hours: 47h/week · WLB score 6/10 · OCCASIONAL overtime

Moderate balance. Sprint ends, launch periods, and OKR cycles create predictable crunch. Agile rhythms give some structure but cross-timezone collaboration (US clients) can push hours late.
