A Day in the Life
You teach Christian Civilization as a subject in Sri Lankan secondary or tertiary education, guiding students through the history, theology, ethics, and cultural contributions of Christianity within a multireligious national curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver lessons on Christian history, theology, and ethics
- Design and mark assignments, essays, and examination papers
- Guide students through O/L or A/L Christian Civilization syllabus content
- Facilitate classroom discussion on comparative religion and ethical questions
- Maintain student progress records and prepare term reports
- Participate in school staff meetings, parent meetings, and religious events
- Support students with spiritual guidance and pastoral care where appropriate
- Coordinate with other Social Studies and Religious Studies teachers for interdisciplinary projects
Work Environment
