A Day in the Life
Guide organisations through major transformations — technology rollouts, restructurings, mergers, and culture shifts — by managing the human side of change through structured frameworks, communication strategies, and stakeholder engagement.
- Conduct change impact and readiness assessments across affected business units
- Develop change management strategies using Prosci ADKAR or Kotter frameworks
- Design communication plans and create messaging for change initiatives
- Facilitate training needs analysis and oversee change readiness training delivery
- Engage and coach resistant stakeholder groups through transition
- Monitor adoption metrics and adjust strategies based on feedback
- Write executive-level change progress reports and risk registers
- Support post-go-live reinforcement to embed new behaviours and processes
Work Environment
Project-based engagement work spanning client offices and consulting firm environments. In Sri Lanka, change management consultants are most active during large IT transformation projects (SAP, Oracle ERP implementations), post-merger integrations, and government digitisation programmes. Big 4 advisory firms and independent consultants are the primary delivery channel.
Typical hours: 50h/week · WLB score 5/10 · COMMON overtime
Consulting engagements are intense. Go-live periods and major stakeholder events require sustained long hours. Travel to client sites across SL is common.
