About This Role

Ensures financial institutions adhere to national laws, international standards, and anti-money laundering (AML) policies.

A Day in the Life

Monitor, assess, and ensure the organisation's compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies — particularly financial, data protection, and sector-specific regulatory requirements — while managing relationships with regulators.

  • Monitor regulatory updates from CBSL, SEC, Insurance Board, and other relevant bodies
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments across business units
  • Review business activities, products, and processes for regulatory alignment
  • Prepare and submit regulatory returns, reports, and licencing filings
  • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and represent the organisation in regulatory meetings
  • Develop and update compliance policies, procedures, and training materials
  • Investigate compliance breaches and recommend corrective action
  • Produce compliance management information reports for the Board and management
